Get him a soup bone, really anything, to chew on.  It'll give him something to do instead of sitting around lonesome and missing his friend.

gave him 'treats' but he hides them under the bed I made for him.

Bound to have an old steak bone around.  Or one of those chew toys maybe.  Realize you might only have him over night though.

the family coming tomorrow. mom & dad in the 80's in the Villages of Florida and a sister in Texas. soft scrambled an egg. little guy just not eating. even tried some good meatloaf.
