Just for the sake of clarity, Peter, when you say 'guess the dollar amount it cost me' you're talking total cost of purchase and shipping, right??0

C'mon, Peter. The beans cost you the total price for the beans plus the freight to get them there. Right? Right??
Dont forget, you're talking to a retired bean counter and if I need backup I'll call on good ol' trollin' Jiunn....1 -

I don't think you follow me. The cost of the beans includes the cost to get them to you.
Now, if you said the cost of the beans exclusive of the freight that's a different matter. I'm just trying to get you to specify which way you mean....0 -

Ah, so. Thank you.
That means I'll have to revise my guess on the cost to $2,680.0 -
OH, Now you tell us, lol. Thanks, @jlmarta for straightening that out. I always add it in to the cost of materials. Sometimes I get a little box of findings and the cost of shipping and insurance is more than I paid my dentist last month.0

I've found that one of the tricks used by some eBay sellers is to inflate the actual cost of shipping their item so that the item can sell at an attractively lower price because part (or all) of their profit is buried in the shipping cost. I try to avoid buying from sellers who I suspect are doing this....
End of thread jack. You may now return to the regular program...1 -
