Re: Man o war ruination
wwestern:Sit on em rob....when you're ready to move up in strength they'll be much better with the rest... My ruinations with a little over a year on em are damn fine smokes. +1 on saving them. Give them a shot in 6+ months and let your pallate develop as well. You. Might find that you will enjoy them later on down the… -
Re: Lowest Rh for storing cigars
bandyt09:I like to keep mine at 62% - 65% but several occasions they have spent a bit of time around 58% with no problems. However, I really don't like to see anything under 60%. I keep mine at 62 - 65 because, for me, they smoke better. I guess, to a point, it is just like the cello on or cello off debate. +1 -
Re: Humidity problems
+ 1 to what Charlie said. it is possible that the analog is that far off, depending on where you ordered your last batch of smokes from they might be really dry, there is a company that starts with a 'T' that has been known to send out some extremely dry cigars from time to time. Good luck and let us know what you figure… -
Re: Recommendation: Man O War Side Projects Sampler
skweekz:I agree. Email your rep. Andy had a special that included all 3 in a sampler at a very nice (and wallet friendly) price. +1...this is the way to go. I smoked the Little Devil (that I got from Andy) last night and make sure you get a few more of these, they are that good. And at the price, I might be getting another… -
Re: has anyone had that man o'war special edition?
It is an amazing cigar, definitely worth the money in my mind. The 2 I have smoked(bought 12), have been perfect burners with 0 touch-ups and were good even after only 1 month of rest. Mine didn't seem to have the spice of the regular Ruination, more of a mellow spice...just a perfect mix of the Regular and Ruination MoW. -
Re: for you old timers on the forum
The Sniper:Also - it looks like you've dropped some tonnage Ozwaldicus Maximus!!! :-) Ive dropped 23 Lbs since november 1 2011. Hit the gym 4-5 days a week, changed my diet a bit, walk alot and Hiking in the mountains does the trick.... from 240-217 with a goal of around 205 thats all... LOL thanks for noticing! -
Re: am i the only one...?
J.S.:I like them but really they can get one dimensional. I prefer the smaller rings and shorter sticks with them. I typically don't like maduro wrappers but there are exceptions and occasionally a Pardon maduro works just fine from the normal naturals I prefer. They are not an every day stick, however. +1 right here. My… -
Re: Can anyone give a little advice???
yeah im really liking the cigar mechanic beads,...i also have a gel jar that is "ok" but not as good as the beads... it is a pretty snug fit although with a knife i can ease it out without damage to the box or hygro...as of now it has maybe a 1/4" sized hole or smaller in the very center...just dont think enough air is… -
Re: Double and triple caps?
Usually you can see them and count them. The first, bottom one is the biggest, then they get progressively smaller so you can see the edge and about 1/16" of the cap before the next one covers it. DPG is a good example of someone who usually uses 3 caps. I've never heard of more than that. Lots of sticks have 2. -
Re: Wineador humidity/hygrometer readings
Stick the wireless on at the top with the other one and see hat the reading is. I get fluctuations in my winedor from top to bottom as well. Although it's not that much from top to bottom. The other thing I would suggest is a small fan of some sort to help circulate air to help level out the humidity. The 1 internal fan…
