Re: More Reviews
hahaha. I do my best. Hopefully, people find them interesting and useful enough. I'll always post whether or not a drink and cigar were paired together and try to match them up or at least let you know whether or not it was a good match. If anyone has any suggestions or requests, please feel free. I'll be going to a… -
Re: More Reviews
Last night I had some friends over for a cigar dinner. I tried to pair each course with a drink that might work well with the food and finally some cigars to go with coffee. Problem was that I promised everyone Monte Cristo Media Noches and only had 5 cigars for 6 guys.....sooooo, I felt compelled to smoke one of my… -

Forgot to post my review on the Cain Nub Habano. Don't remember specifics, but do remember really liking this cigar. Very smooth, with some sweet notes. Not the typical profile you'd expect from such a strong cigar. Finally tried my first 5 Vegas Triple A tonight. I can't say I was as impressed as I thought I would have… -
Re: More Reviews
I did a review on this cigar (Montecristo Media Noche Edmundo) a while back and this one was pretty similar. I did notice more cedar this time with the bittersweet cocoa more in the background. I did briefly notice that anise note again - still very subtle. Paired this cigar with a slightly aged grappa that I picked up… -

OK, here goes....for the second F*ing time around. I made it to the liqor store and picked up the Maraschino liqueur to make the Last Word that sightunseen requested/recommended. The Last Word: I found most of the recipes suggested these portions: 1 part Gin (I used Bombay Sapphire), 1 part Green Chartreuse, 1 part… -

Rocky Patel Summer 08 Robusto - nice construction, perfect draw with a punch and a pre-light of soft hay, tobacco and a slight apple note. On the pallet, this stick gave off notes of light tobacco, hay and sweet spices. It's profile makes it a nice fall morning cigar. Diesel Unlimited Belicoso - pre-light of barnyard and… -

What does she drink? I gave a recipe for a cucumber gin martini or cucumber gin mojito a few posts back. The mojito style would just be a bit lighter, but both have that great summer taste and feel. If she does Vodka martinis, I'd take her favorite fruit/fruits and throw them in a bottle of decent vodka (try Tito's… -

Tried posting last night but had some computer problems, compounded on a bad day, injury playing soccer, **** day at work....let's just say this is one good reason I don't own any guns. First, thanks Jdorais and it's nice to see someone expanding their horizons because of my reviews and knowing I had an influence on… -
Re: More Reviews
Great review. Did you have to drybox the La Aurora before smoking? I smoked what I believe was the No. 4 and while the flavors were fantastic, it had terrible burn problems. The wrapper on it was very oily. I have one more in the humi that I'm going to drybox before smoking. For the old Padilla Miami, was the band a… -
Re: More Reviews
OK, before I get to my cigar and drink reviews, I'm gonna post a new one here. A friend of mine caught a keeper while striper fishing the other night and gave me a filet from the catch. I decided to go all out and make a nice dinner for my girlfriend and I and thought I'd post it here. The fish was done in simple fashion…
