Nub CT

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Nub CT. The wrapper was flawless, the stick boasting a noticeable raisin aroma pre-light. Upon lighting I found the taste to be slightly more intense than your average "mild" stick. Draw was excellent with a burn to match. Toasty flavors of wood and leather, with a noticeable spice about 1/3 in. To my surprise this stick ashed the way it is presented in the Nub ads... I ashed it once when it was almost done... Amazing, perfectly straight cylinder of ash from start to finish. Speaking of the finish, while I would not say it was strong, it was certainly the strongest finish of any mild cigar I have ever had. I will getting more of these...

    Nice little review, I am a BIG fan of the Nub. I prefer the Habano myself. I've had the Connecticut and it was just okay to me, lots of smoke, not big on flavor, but everyone's tastes are different. They def. have the best construction though, without a doubt. I have yet to have one with a burn problem

    My two favorites are CT and Habano. I rarely smoke CT cigars, but I've found that the two best (for me) are Nub and Rocky Patel CT. Although I finally had an Oliva CT the other day and it put itself in the running...

    I tried the Nub CT at my local B & M and really enjoyed it. It was my first one and I wanted to start out with a mild one. I will try some of the others fairly soon.

    I was really most interested how the little cigar would smoke and was pleasantly surpirsed, it smoked for a long time and right down to the "nub" it was very enjoyable.

    I really didn't like the NUB concept when it was first introduced and vowed to never buy one. But something started to intrique me more and more and here I stand with atleast 12 in the humidor! I like the CT but I love the habano. I have a maduro I'll fire up when im in Vegas in 10 days. I think that they'll be very good to have on the casino floor. The 1 hour or so is awesome.

    Interesting, I'll have to give it a shot. I generally shy away from Gurkha because of their absurd retail price and the number of different cigars they produce.

    The CT is my favorite. Like you said - not your average CT. I don't particularly love Connecticut wrappers, mostly because they end up a little bland for my tastes. The NUB is so flavorful, though, and is certainly not a mild CT. The creamy flavors go great with chocolate milk. :)

    Definitely give it a try man. The Park Avenue is easily one of Gurkha's best values - a great mild stick for a very fair price.

    also try the Nub Habano, obviously not the same flavor profile but that's my favorite Nub. I recommend the 460 as it's a torpedo and a little easier to smoke to the very end
