humidifier-- solution

ok I heard that the solution that your pose to use on a humidifier cartrige is glycol! is this true, and what is the mixture of glycol to water in the bottle.. why I ask is at my work we use glycol for cooling. and I was wondering if I could use it.....for my humidifier cartrige....

    Short answer...no. You're only half right about the name, it is actually propylene glycol that is in the PG solution...hence the PG.
  • yes, that's what we have is PG, and so I should be able to recharge my humifier..

    it has to be mixed to very exact standards.
    i have heard of people mixing it themselves but i hear its a real pain.
    seriously the xikar jars or the jars you can find here at cigar.com or the beads are the way to go.

    Not sure I would risk it - maybe you can find out a formula online?
