Here's a test quickie, rolled from Dominican Piloto Cubano and Brazilian Mata Fina, bound with Dominican Olor, and wrapped with FX Smith's super delicate Connecticut shade leaf. Wish I had a less blurry pic. I take crappy pics. I love that Olor. It really adds an aroma. This is a stashable blend. Mild and smooth already. Sweet and flavorful. I'll probably roll forty or fifty, and stash them away to smoke next summer. I have around 450 in stash right now. The original aim was to age them six months; but I cant smoke them fast enough, so probably a hundred fifty of them are a year old. The only thing that keeps me from having more is it takes sometimes months to hit on the next just right blend. What leaves are available keep on changing, so you can't just go back to the well.
“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)
When I 1st tried this cigar, I didn't care for it at all. I thought maybe I just didn't care for fire cured tobacco. Well you know me, I have to try things 3 or 4 times before I finally decide they aren't good for me
But I gotta say, I'm liking this 3rd 1 A lot more.
Edit
So I guess I've changed my mind, I like this cigar, may even buy a Box.
Picked up this Espinosa Reggae Dread when I was down South visiting my Mom and Sister at the Tobacco Barn in what used to be known as El Toro. Gimmick, but I couldn't resist trying the Jamaican tobacco in this cigar. Mild to medium, but sweet and a the cold draw gave me raisin notes. Paired with a Cruzan rum, not my favorite rum but the only one in the house right now.
It was good to try, but not sure that I'd seek out another.
Update: Upgrading my opinion of this cigar, kinda. The wrapper started to unwrap near the head, but I'm really enjoying the flavor if this one. I didn't dry box so the wrapper could just be user error.
