Event stated as:
"Before the statewide smoking ban goes into effect, come to our “smoke out” Cigar Dinner on Wednesday, June 23. Please join us, along with our friends from Lake Country Cigars, for a fantastic evening of camaraderie and enjoyment of Chef Fox’s outstanding food paired with Gurkha cigars, Scotch and wine. Event price is $75++ per person and includes dinner, numerous cigars, door prizes and beverage pairings."

Yea, gave one away, and auctioned the other for charity.

I am at work, have the pics with me, will upload a bit later on, friday afternoons are usually pretty slow.

    OK!

So the whole thing was pretty amazing. The Madison Club ( http://www.madisonclub.org ) is 100 years old this year, and just an over the top place. We had to make quite a few calls just to be able to make reservations. The event was put together by a somewhat local cigar shop named Lake County Cigars (Rocky Patel himself visits there often).

I went with my girlfriend Jamie, and the owner of my local cigar bar, Jackson. Jackson has been there before, so he gave us a mini tour of the place, simply outstanding. We went to the room with the event, and it was just lavish. On walking in, they gave us our first cigar, I cant remember the name off hand, but it was a Gurkha special blend made for Lake County Cigars - basically a similar blend to the Regent. After lighting up, we went to the open Whiskey & Scotch Bar (open in the sense that we arent paying for drinks, but we DID pay for the overall event). I know NOTHING about Scotch, so again, I followed Jackson's lead and got what he did. Cant even remember the name, but it was smooth as hell, and was my drink of the evening... till the wine with dinner.

We made our way to the patio... stood out there for a while, drinking, talking, smoking. ... can it get much better? All sorts of P

Crap, I found a 2pack of the hmr's around xmas 08 for a little over 1000. I wanted to jump on it but I just don't know or think they could be much better than the royal reserve. I mean more cognac is good but really, how much better? Still looks like a good time, though I always sort of hate going to those type of things especially something at that high class place. I've never gone to a cigar thing like that but my X use to love going to wine things. I got so sick of being around the "wine" snobs that I sort of stopped trying to go to events. Sure I will hit up the shop if one's around but really there really isn't any big wig things here in portland.
