Smuggling Cubans overseas, hypothetically

Disclaimer: None of this relates to reality in any way. Let's say I were in Spain right now, where boxes of Cuban cigars are available by the barrelful, and coming home in a few weeks. In this purely hypothetical situation, what would be the best way to smuggle a box or two back? I would be thinking of putting them in my suitcase so I would be less likely to deal with customs (as I would if, for example, I bought them at duty-free after checking my luggage), but is there still much of a risk then? Do the bags get checked? I would appreciate any advice which is obviously not based in any real-world experience but is purely based on theory.

Theoretically, you can remove the bands from the smokes and bring them back with you and ship the box and bands separately. Or you can put the bands and box in your checked luggage. Theoretically.

uuh.... im fairly sure cigar.com does not want people discussing how to break US laws on their forum.... even if it is hypothetical.

    I hypothetically agree.

Aw, even just speaking academically? Well, if that's the case then I have no problem with a mod deleting this.
