Car problems... And a little bright side.

5 weeks ago, I had my 2008 Lancer towed to my Mistu dealer. I finally found out that my engine is toast yesterday. For the most B.S. reason ever. The oil filter that was used wound up to be faulty. The seal broke and I blew my motor up.
This is a massive problem since my extended warranty dosen't cover it and I do not have the money for a new crate engine. Instead of driving my dad's truck until I save the money to have my car repaired (here is the bright side). I bought my dad's GMC 3500 off of him today for the price of nothing. The only problem with that is, it's not road worthy either. It needs new brake lines and it is leaking fuel. It will cost me less to fix those two minor problems than to fix my car right now.
After this whole fiasco with my car I'm a firm believer in having two vehicles. Just in case something like this happens again.
