Bought a house!

VA Foreclosure, dirt cheap, on a bit of land just a bit out of town. Needs some work, but I happen to know someone who does that kinda thing.... I actually move in in 2 weeks or so.

Well, got the water to the house on yesterday (it's been on, I had it shut off at the meter til I could get a plumber out there), and wound up with an inch of standing water under the house. Easy fix, but gonna take a bit to dry enough to get to it, lol..

Houses are better than apartments or renting, I have owned mine for 10 years. The only problem is that expenses and problems land squarely on your shoulders. Good Luck and congrats.

I do believe that front porch is primed for a nice comfy chair to enjoy a few smokes in.
