I know that I have posted about insurance before, but I am actively shopping for disability ins. policies right now. Some of you said that you had policies that were friendly towards cigar smokers. Would anyone be willing to share which companies offer these? PM if necessary. It just really bothers me that my 1 cigar a week makes me the same as a cigarette smoker in their eyes. thanks.

    I agree with you my disability insurance rated me as a tobbaco user for maybe 15+ sticks a month. This is absolute BS. The agent actually told me smoking cigars was just as bad as cigarettes in their eyes and they were worried I would get mouth cancer or esophageal cancer and make a claim.

    I find it strange that the person with diabetes had a better rate. This of course is through work and they pay part of the premium. Oh well I guess cigar smokers are evil to these narrow-minded companies.
