Sorry avo classic... you are not in the top 10... just the top 11.
Wow in my absence kuzi fell in love with Davidoffs eh?

I saw you pu the LE10 in the honorable mentions, did you have the LE08 or the 80th?
    nope.

i have fallen hard for Davidoff.

i just hit this point where was done with ultra-full bodied cigars. so i started to smoke milds and mediums. there is so much going on in those cigars. i can hardly understand how people can say they are flavorless.

but at the same time when i was only smoking the ultra full stuff i was saying the same thing.

True... I am still exploring mild cigars.
If we extended this out to the top 20 then you would see things like Avo classic Avo LE10, Zino Classic, Davidoff Classic, Davidoff Gran Cru, etc...

Just an observation Kuz. I have always enjoyed medium sticks as well as the full bodied sticks. I don't find mild cigars provide enough of flavor/body to satisfy me, I always seem to want to smoke a cigar soon after finishing one. But I do agree with you 100%, that there are plenty of medium sticks out there that are fantastic sticks.
Then there is also the difference between what some consider full body then someone else might. I find the Armada's medium at most, the same as the Air Benders. To me they are medium at best, but listed as full bodied.
The restraunt business must be treating you well these days Matt, if your are smoking Davidoffs !

i agree. the air bender is medium. i dont think it is full at all.

i think its more karma coming back to me. many if not most of the Davidoffs are gifts.

I recant my previous statements about you not having any taste. The Davidoff snobbishness and the prices I hate but the cigars themselves are hard to argue with,

I always found a leathery undertone to every Davidoff I smoked that wasn't my favorite thing for a long time, however, I've grown to like that leather flavor. Do you get that as well or is it just me?

AVO and the Winston Churchills seem not to have that and its why i loved them far longer than I have Davidoff.

Oh and if you ever get a chance to do a Henke Kellner tasting, DO IT.

its been a while since this thread has been pulled up. i have a few changes. my old list is as follows:

    1) Davidoff Maduro
    2) Arturo Fuente OpusX
    3) Mow Armada
    4) Avo Domaine
    5) LFD Airbender
    6) Camacho Diploma Maduro
    7) JdN Celebracion
    8) Camacho Triple Maduro
    9) LFD DL Maduro
    10) JdN antano
my new list is now this:

    1) Davidoff Maduro
    2) MoW Armada (in the Corona vitola)
    3) LFD Airbender Chisel (the chisel is a different blend than the other Air Benders)
    4) JdN Celebracion
    5) Davidoff Thouseand series
    6) Camacho Diploma Maduro
    7) Room 101 Connecticut
    8) Camacho Triple Maduro
    9) Avo Domaine
    10) LFD DL Maduro

i am sure that a few others have changed their top 10 blends given the growing and dynamic cigar world.

i find it a sad note that i do not have any Camacho Diploma Maduros in my humidor at the moment. I need to change that.

To be fair though, a large amount of sticks that I have and just haven't smoked yet due to letting them rest and age, I'm pretty sure will end up being my favorites. Sticks such as the Armada, Padron Anniversary Series, OpusX Super Beli Maduro, Ashton ESG, etc etc. -- Brett

    Necro...Necro...Necro

I'm curious if anyone like Alex, Kuzi, Krieg, or other still around since this thread was started would care to post their current top 10. My list would be pretty boring at this point...

    1. Opus X
    2. San Cristobal Elegencia
    3. Avo Classic
    4. Regius Corona
    5. DC Julius Ceasar
    6. MOW Armada
    7. LFD Airbender Chisel
    8. Ashton VSG
    9. Oliva V (Melanio or not)
    10. Tie-JdN Celebracion (consul)
    10. Tie-AF Hemingway Short Story (maduro in particular)

If I thought about this more, I might change the order around some.

I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot.  I will smoke anything, though.

I guess that's not what I was hoping for. "Inventory considerations" and sales aside, what I'm really interested in is how someone's flavor preferences change over time. I thought getting updated lists would be interesting.
