I'm still a little new to all of this but I have mine scheduled for once every six months. I know that some do it once per year. I think that if you live in an area that sees high humidity, twice a year might be a good thing. But no matter how often you do it I can't see it hurting.
I think its a good idea too..that way u know how far off your reading are if any...normal salt has a rh of 75 percent so when ur calibrating use that as a base number
The general advice is to calibrate analog hygrometers once a month, and calibrate digital hygrometers once every 6mo; I usually do it once ever 6mo with the Xikar's I have
