Hello

"A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

This is true of introductions, enjoying a cigar, and is also the first sentence in Frank Herbert's seminal novel "DUNE". Speaking of Frank Herbert, he had a beard. A nice big, bushy one...and that makes him okay in my book, and should in yours. I have a beard, and I smoke cigars.

Now that I have your attention, I hope this forum is the place to introduce oneself and that I didn't rudely gatecrash any discussions. I've been lurking for about a week after I signed up to cigar.com two weeks ago and made my first purchases after realizing I was overpaying at my local (but fantastic) B&M cigar shoppe

I've only been seriously smoking premium cigars since this past summer and my Dad recently bought me my first humidor (50 ct) for Christmas and so here I am! I've learned a lot on this site, in these forums and it seems like a great community with a bunch of great people.

I'll meander off now and hope to get to know some of ya's.

p.s. I hope my sig works!

'nother beardo here, welcome to you, sir! Watch out for these folks, they'll gladly take your money, and make you more than happy to give them more. It's called "the Daily Deal". BTW, I suggest joining Cigar of the Month (COTM), worth the money and lot's of interesting variety, to get you interested, so you'll spend more of your money. (and smile more) :)

I live in Southern California! I'm surprised we have a thriving cigar business out here considering all our legislation to make it as expensive and difficult to smoke as possible, but there's still some cigar shops/lounges around. I just smoke mine at home, but there were always people in the lounges when I would go to my local B&M to buy my favorites!

I had a beard until it turned on me, so I had to put it down. Took 2 days and 2 nights, but I won.

    anyway, welcome!

You should come to our So Cal Herf in Temecula this Saturday, we'd love to have you. Check the California Herf thread in the General Discussions.

Welcome and I hope you stick around. I would agree 50ct is cute to look at but I give you about a month before you start actaully looking for something new.....if not sooner.

I would, but I've got a really bad cold right now and haven't even been able to smoke these MoW Virtue's (much less anything else) I got from the daily deal a few days ago. If y'all are herfing in Temecula you should go check out Zarka's Cigar Lounge before the meetup... freaking huge humidor, helpful staff kept me from getting started with the wrong sticks.
