About to fire up a Montecristo Platinum Series toro, gifted to me, for my morning walk. Smells good, firm, well constructed. I have developed a negative, biased, opinion of Montes for some reason, going to test that now.

Well, the Monte was mild to medium, hint of honey from the wrapper, and a more or less flavorless filling. I have become used to cigars with more character so won't be seeking another one but if you favor a mild cigar with a Mexican wrapper you might like this one.
