Sealing a cheap humi

poypoykingpoypoyking Posts: 55
I acquired a larger humidor, but it was rather inexpensive. What can I do to improve the seal? I was thinking about running a little silicon where I can see little gaps, but I don't want to leave anything smelling like chemicals. What have other people used?

Adhesive backed felt from the craft store. Sealed up some big gaps in smoking humidor VERY nicely. You can get a great fit with it since it compresses. Get the thinnest one, the thicker one is generally too much.

I'm pretty sure WaxingMoon uses silicone to seal some of his humi's - might try visiting his website and dropping him an email

+1 on the weather stripping. Havent tried it on a humidor yet, but I can tell you from experience that it does an EXCELLENT job on coolidors.
