@OmgFrigginMike there's always this too if you wanna learn the finer intricacies of cigars, life, political incorrectness, and basic ássholery. Usually stars around 8 p.m. eastern time.Another member has invited me to that as well but I felt a little nervous/anxious joining in on a zoom where I know nobody PLUS I’m at work for 4 more hours today. Maybe I’ll try to on a day off when the lady is running errands but today’s not the day.
Don't worry, we like fresh meat! We just hang out and chew the fat, sometimes talk about cigars, often about whatever.

Hello, Mike. Plan on spending 4-5 dollars per stick on smokes in the ppassable category. 5 Vegas is something you will outgrow quickly. Now I want to smoke a 5Vegas, I think I have some A or AAAs in the Iris boxes. If I recall they were good yardwork smokes.

I would send you one but I’m not old enough(enough posts) to trade/play in the shenanigans yet.

What exactly do you mean by yardwork smokes? As in you don’t sit back relax and pair it with a drink or it’s so garbage you use it to feed the yard? 😅

Pretty much every night, usually lasts a couple of hours, I got off just now to have some dinner after one smoke, but there were three guys on when I left, some starting their second cigar.

Yard work for me is usually mowing, pruning trees and bushes, raking leaves, hanging laundry, gardening, splitting wood etc. I don't have much time for sitting back and relaxing and no longer drink.

Haha I know what hard work is I just didn’t think it was such a literal phrase. I quit drinking too. Been sober a little over 10 years now.

Guess with all the commotion the past couple days. Feels fitting if I reintroduce myself.
Hi I'm Robert
I'd join 6 years ago. Then really just disappeared from here. Now I'm back and am more appreciative of this group. This is where I learned what a cigar community really is. Grateful that this fourm is here.
I haven't smoke a cigar in about 2 years. Just feel like time isn't a friend right now. Wanting to get back into it.9 -
Like Robear, I'll reintroduce myself. I'm Ron, was here for a couple years, then Covid hit me hard and had to stay away from all things smoke. I kept all my cigars, but instead of smoking, I would check the Bovida packs and rotate them. Yup not torch or match lit. I smoked a few and got the stink eye from the wife each time. Then i retired after 42 combined years with Defense and moved from South Florida to the Panhandle. Now we have settled down and I've been enjoying a cigar from time to time again. Now that the summer heat is beginning to let up I can sit out on the lanai and enjoy a smoke and adult beverage or coffee again. It's good to be back, it's a fine group of folks here.

If that is the one in Destin, I remember seeing it some time ago while visiting a sporting goods store. It is a little over an hour drive from my house. I am between Pace and Milton in an area called Pea Ridge.

New to the thread, but not new to cigars. Been at it for 2.5 years. I'm very adventurous and still trying different brands. Found some great cigars and some terrible ones.
Dislike flowery, leafy, or bitter notes (e.g. Agonorsa, Macanudo, Partagas)
Also don't like heavy nicotine (e.g. Gran Habano)
Likes bold, woody, and cocoa notes
Cigars I like (in no particular order): Aroma de Cuba, Oliva all series, Cao (most types), Davidoff (most so far), Monte Cristo Platinum, Romeo Y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua, Nub all types, Rocky Patel all types so far (Decade as favorite). And plenty others in between.
