"On Order" items

Hey all...I've never bought anything not "in stock" from CCOM. If I order an "on order" I'm guessing it'll show up when it come in? Will my entire order be held until it's all in stock, or will in stock stuff ship and I wait for the rest? I'm more curious than anything really...just wondering what other's experiences have been.     Oh, nevermind....I jumped the gun. got all the info I needed from the confirmation email.

    I've often wondered if you could still place an order on an item that was on order.
