Need a recommendation for a noob...

Hey guys, I am fortunate enough to have been invited on a 3 day pheasant hunt with a vendor/buddy of mine in South Dakota! Not too much happening in Podunk - er' I mean Pollock, SD other than hunting, so I figure I'll take along some smokes for the evenings. Question comes in here - I am a seasoned, tried and true tobacco user - Cigars, Snuff, Chew, and Cigarettes, and am a big fan of strong, full-bodied smokes. My buddy is not! He doesn't smoke anything except the ocassional swisher sweet, so I want to treat him to a good smoke or three, but don't want him turning green and lame on me. What are some good, mild suggestions that he may enjoy? Thanks in advance!

I he likes the swishers he would probably like infused, a Drew Estate Kuba Kuba, or Cold Tea Infusion or maybe a con leche Tubak Especial. If he is a regular no flavor guy, a lighter wrapper like Rocky Patel Connie, Ashton or Don Tomas, Romeo y Julieta Vintage, these are just a few. If he likes a bit more body a sungrown wrapper may add flavor but noth be too strong.

Oliva Connecticut Reserve, Graycliff G2, Man O' War Virtue, AVO...those are some good mild cigars that I have enjoyed. Some good medium strength I've had are Oliva O & G, 5 Vegas Classic, and La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial.

Avo, AF Connie, RyJ Vintage, these are some good mild cigars to try. If you are looking for medium, I would go with a RyJ vintage maduro (imo it is very mild for a maddy). Have fun on the trip!

Great suggestions so far. I'd second the Ashton original for a higher end mild stick. Go with C.Com Purple Label for a budget mild connie that is still flavorful (great bang for the buck).

Since he likes Swisher Sweets, I would also suggest Montesino maduro - it's very mild but imparts some sweetness since it's a maduro. It's also very affordable in case he doesn't care for it. I just can't recommend for someone to gift Acids!!

I gotta say 5 Vegas. Original ( red label ) I have won over many novice with that one. You can get some great deals on the cigarsprintsale.com site, (a cigar.com spinoff ) They have then up often.

Agree with that and the 5 vegas gold. Also handed out some La Perla Habana morado's that went over well. Have fun hunting!

I'm up in Fargo and will hopefully be getting in some hunting this weekend or the next as we have a corporate hunt going on as well. 5V Gold are a good mild giveaway stick that I usually give out, maybe some Virtues, Olivia Connies, AB '97s, anything connie wrapped he should appreciate if he wants a lighter smoke
