So I decided to light up the cigar that has been in my humidor the longest. Being a newb, it was only in there for a year, however the cigar apparently was rolled back in 2000. So it was also the most aged cigar in my humidor. What can I say, it's Tuesday! Lol.

The cigar is a Ramon y Ramon. Having no idea what it was when I received it, I asked all of you what it was in this thread. One of our retired brothers (j0z3r) helped out with identifying it and provided a nice link if you are interested in reading up on this particular cigar. Another retired brother/troll tried to help out too. Funny stuff. Anyways, the cigar was really nice and smooth. Sadly, I'm sure I'll never see another one.

Tony, I'm curious what was the burn time?? Im going with 2 hours,, mild and mellow. Rare smoke! I'd like to see the entire band.. I know a little something about the Partagas 150 project. I would think that this cigar is older than 2000 or it may be a reblend or private release.

Interesting,, The link worked for me as well,, so was able to see the entire band. I think thedjfish is correct,, looks like two releases, as I Believe the first Ramon y Ramon (Partagas 150 project) was release in 1993.. Makes sense,,

This one was the Familia vitola (6.25x47). I didn't really take note of the smoking time, but I would estimate it was a little short of 2 hours. I said it was released in 2000 based on the article in the other thread.

In about 1993 General Cigar started the Partagas 150 project. The first release was a humidor with 75 cigars,, 50 Partagas 150,, and 25 Ramon y Ramon,, named after Ramon Cifuentes the man behind Partagas. The Partagas 150 was the most successful product launch General Cigar ever had. The Ramon y Ramon however, never made it to market. These cigars were rolled in 1995 and tucked away in an aging room.
,, SO I don't know if these are the originals Ramon y Ramon that were later released as a separate stick in honor and respect of Cifuentes death in 2000 "or" if these were a new blend created in 2000.. Now Im leaning toward these being the originals just released on their own.. Did you enjoy it??? Like Cameroon?

#47 is in the books. An Illusione 88 from Zeebra. I'm still smoking my winnings from the Stafford contest and they continue to remind me off victory! Lol, thanks again Shawn. I really enjoy the original line from Illusione and this one was no different.
I was lucky to get this from Tony (Alienmissprint) it's from 2010 and is amazing while studying math. I hope not to associate this great cigar with F'n math though...
#48 is from my recent MAW package courtesy of C-LOVE. I had high hopes for the Room 101 Namakubi Ecuador and it was freaking delicious! Thank you very much man. I need to get some more.
Had this La Aurora petit corona (not sure what the official name is though) while walking the dog Friday night after work.
Very good for a quick smoke.
(And Jim tells me the pricing on these is a steal!)
Going to smoke a few more before making a decision ... but if those go well I might have to stock up on some of these before next winter. Thanks Jim! Always enjoy trying the "new" smokes you send me!!!
Boyd and I met up a couple of weeks ago and one of the cigars he handed me was a My Father Lancero. Damn fine smoke with just enough spice for me. Thanks Boyd!! Sorry, only picture I took and might be hard to see in my mouth...
