    Makes it hard to feel sorry for Detroit. On the other hand I kind of wish I worked there!

    No, you don't. Not really. I grew up in Detroit and it was bad enough then. Trust me, it's way worse now. I think the old saying goes, "Man is the only creature who, unless it's sick, will deliberately foul its own nest". And that's what's happening there now.
