Issues with glass top humidors or cabinets?

Has anyone had trouble with the temperature in a glass top humidor or cabinet? With lights on in the room, the temp in mine starts to rise. The only time I have really allowed the humidor to be exposed to the light was when I first got it and it started to rise so I covered the top with a shop towel.

the example in my previous message was a desk lamp that was way too close...like 18". Wouldn't overhead lighting several feet away do the same thing?

nope. overhead lighting is far enough away that the radiated heat will have little to no impact.
    light bulbs get hot.

yup, bulbs put out more heat than they do light...but if you like them, better buy as many incandescent bulbs u can find...they will be illegal to manufacture in four weeks.
