Collection for sale... sucks to be me!

Hi Folks! With great sadness I am sorry to report that the economy has gotten the better of me. I have something I would love to sell to a serious cigar enthusiast. image My 400 ct seasoned humidor and over $900 of delectable sticks :D I am located in San Francisco for you locals. $600 gets the whole she-baang and a hearty merry Christmas from me who is not looking forward to any sort of Christmas except for starting to pay off my multi k bill to the IRS :( I apologize to cigar.com, I know this is probably not the pace to offer this, but where else can I reach cigar friends? Takers please pm me. Robert aka rad1964

Sorry to hear you got the IRS on you, not much worse than that. You might want to make at least a partial list of the sticks, if possible, might be more likely to get a taker that way. Also any plans for how you'd ship this...

Bad news brother, really hate seeing all these brothers having to resort to selling off their collections. Pray things work out for you friend. On aside note you may think of breaking them down into samplers and selling the humi separately. More trouble I know but might make it easier to unload.

Yes, I have a list and my plan if I have to ship anything out of SF, CA is to utilize that roll of bubble wrap I bought 6 years ago and I believe I have saved most of my pillow wraps that the cigars were originally shipped in! I have an A+ record for shipping on eBay when I do sell items. I will post my list in a second and be sure to suggest a bundle, if that's all you are interested in.

Waffle and Buckeye you have pm's - yes those prices are retail, what I paid, except for a select few that I won at auction somewhere else (mainly the Ghurka Centurians.)

Here's another photo of the Humidor:

    image

The humidor gets sold after the vast amount of sticks are sold, I do have an 80ct humidor I can stick some of them in and yes I am withholding a few of my favorites (which are represented in the list but not in the count. Love those Centurians and Opus X.

Sorry to hear you're selling your collection, that's tough. I'm even sorrier to see you paid full retail for all of them. Ccom has most of those cigars on sale and deals all the time, selling most of your list at retail is going to be a tall order here. The Fuente, Ashton, AVO, etc. will sell though. Good luck.

I never said I was selling it at retail, I am selling my collection, PERIOD. The retail prices are what I paid for the most part, but anyone can Make an offer, the retail prices are just so you don't have to look up what its worth retail.

Agreed. I would help but I honestly dont want to insult you with an offer, most of the sticks can be had for less than a 1/3 of what you paid. Are you still selling it all as one or are you willing to break it up?

Hey Shawn, you won't insult me, I know I won't get retail, wouldn't want to rip off fellow smokers of the leaf! A lot of the cigars have been sold (at below retail) and all buyers received something special in their purchase! I can not say much about those sticks cough-SOM...cough...

Here is my upgraded list of what is left, any offer considered, if I don't like your offer I will just give you a counter-offer. Couldn't hurt! Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Just saw the thread, man I am so sorry. I had to sell a bunch of star wars stuff to pay those Aholes. Though I needed to thin my collection as there was so much I didn't want the money to go to the IRS. It really pisses me off that they go after a measly 4500 dollar amount but they could get millions if they went after real people who are trying to hide their money not someone who works his tail off. I wish you the best of luck.

I agree that there have been EPIC sales recently, and I have appreciated every one of them. I just really thought they would out do themselves for what is pretty much the #1 money making holiday of the year. I understand that you come from a different culture Sekrit, but to most of the playerbase of this game, christmas is a big deal. I personally don't celebrate it, but the vast majority of north america (which these servers are supposed to be for) does.

If they were to just take everything that has been on sale in the past month or so, and have it all in the weekly offers section between 12/26 and new years, they would make enough money to cover their expenses and pay all their employees salary in that week alone.

I've been there brother! I tried to sell my stash one time too. I was lucky enough though to meet a bank lawyer here in Austin that was as in to cigars and craft beer as I was. He ended up giving me an interest free personal loan for a couple months and I got to keep my smokes! (minus about 30 of his favorites though) Good Luck Rob, I know things will turn around for you brother! You can't keep a good BOTL down for long ;-)
