Hey robert, welcome to the board.
I'm pretty sure that most everyone on this board has too large of a collection to list everything that they have. It would probably take a few hours to actually go through every single stick and count them.

What I can tell you is that I just picked up quite a few cigars in preparation for the upcoming schip tax. Here's a list of things that I just hoarded up (I'm officially done buying!!)...lets see how long that will last!

    Padilla Miami
    Oliva O mad
    Tat miami
    Cabaiguan, la riquza
    Camacho corojo diploma, pre embargo
    Zino platinum
    Perdomo habano, patriarch
    pepin JJ mad, generosos
    la aurora 1495
    Torano virtuoso
    sol cubano sumatra
    RyJ viejo

Hopefully that will hold me over for a while!

Is that new SCHIP tax going to affect the price of cigars, and how much do you think the price of cigars will go up? I have a small stash put away, but I am always on the lookout to buy more cigars. How does one go about storing away extra cigar bundles? My hunidore only holds 150 and I have seven bundles. Any advise will be appreciated.

S-CHIP is effective April 1st. The price of a cigar will go up anywhere from 40 cents to $2, depending on how each of the middle men decide to take advantage of the excuse to jack up their price, despite this being a retail tax. At least, I believe this is just a retail tax. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there.

Hold on Duty I gotta call ya on this one.......I believe I remember you stating on here you had a very limited inventory as to why you did not participate in a lotta the games......are you freakin kiddin me!!!!
Seriously thats a nice collection of sticks and I would hate to see what you call overstocked if thats limited ...LOL ...damn I feel cigar inadequate/poor now ....thanks Duty !!!
  • dutyjedutyje Posts: 2,263
Hehe.. Most of those are singles. The doubles are 2-packs for sharing, but they are all lower-end sticks (5 Vegas A, Gold, Classic, Oliva G) Most of the singles are cigars I've never tried. My current inventory is 72 cigars. A few of the listed cigars are specifically reserved for a bomb. Almot everything else not in the above categories are cigars I've received in games/bombs here (11 cigars). I seriously ramped up my inventory with two recent ccom purchases, resulting in a ramp-up of 52 cigars in the last 3 weeks. I don't intend to make another purchase until July or August.

I try not to send out too many cigars I've never tried, although I've broken that rule more often than not. I also never re-gift a cigar received in a pass, game, or bomb. I just need to start buying 5-packs of stuff I like, so I can get back into the games. Maybe once I've sampled the stuff I've already got, that'll be my summer purchase.

got some on a great deal, then realized that I need the damn box. I thought at the time I could get about the same amount that came in the box for half the price. Yeah I guess I do have a lot of gurkhas... lol. Well just got another order in today, got some more gurkha's, 12 turks and....

btw, cigar.com really made sure this thing arrived okay, it came in a box already, they went and put a bunch of air packs around it and put it in a much bigger box. I thought I got a few extra boxes or something by the size of the package. Just another reason why I love this place so much, such care for the product.

lol. my wife use to not know too much, but when I outgrew my 300 count humi, then moved into some other tuppawares, she looked at me funny, then when I filled the huge tuppaware she asked how much i had in cigars, I rounded down quite a bit but she said, "you do know your going to burn that, your burning money." Well I just smiled and said, yes I am but at least I'm not buying women or drugs. hopefully she doesn't know how much some of the other boxes I have on order or on wait to order status are. good thing is she is some-what supportive of my hobby.

I actually left quite a few out of my list, well that's fixed. Now that I have it all down like that, man I have a lot of cigars. I wonder if a cabinet humi will be enough, maybe two? urb's what do you think? you have one...
  • gmill880gmill880 Posts: 5,947
You definitly have a case for one Squirrel
  • urbinourbino Posts: 4,517
It all depends on the size of the cabinet, Feebs. Maybe you need one of those wall-sized display cases.

    That Limitada packaging rocks, btw.

They want pictures of the damage, so if you guys continue to post pictures of your "Nub stands" that will be helpful. As I can use them as evidence of the damage fire does to expensive cigars.

Squirrel. you have a problem.. Are you trying to corner the market or what ? Or wait, squirrels by nature are hoarders. Never mind. Is that ceramic box filled with tobacco leaves. You can put them in a pipe and see how they work out.

I'm sure there's some that I'm missing, but I don't want to take apart my humidors and rummage through my stash at the moment. Lot's of these are singles as well. I find that when I buy a box, I tend to end up giving most of the cigars away and not keeping enough for my own enjoyment.
