How do u tell the difference between a box of montecristo #2 from the Dominican or from Cuba? Are the boxes different or different stickers on the box?
The easiest way is that if you live in the US and you have the box in your hands, it's from the Dominican, 'cause the one from Cuba can't legally be in said hands in said country.
You should be able to tell by the seal on the box. Another thing to look for on the box itself are the words " hecho en Cuba" ( made in Cuba) actually etched into the box.

that and all cuban montes have a box code on them. this would give the date they are from.
it will be clear if they are from cuba. it will say if very lagely... of course if they are fake cubans it could say it too but thats a different ball game.
