I find myself drinking either a coffee drink, cola, with or without rum, or water. I did recently find the attraction of Dr. Pepper/ Pibb with a cigar. Not a scotch drinker and not a big fan of beer with cigars.
I seem to prefer a Baileys/Frangelico on the rocks to increase the creamy/chocolate/nutty flavor...but that is only when I smoke at home, no alcohol at the B&M if you are smoking inside their smoking room.
Indeed the beverage can have a profound effect on any cigar. If you
pair them well 9 times out of 10 you will have a great experience
(assuming you dont dislike that cigar in the first place), pair them
wrong & one will overpower the other. Glad to see you found a
pairing that works great for you.
