In the spirit of such, I will offer up a bet to 2 of the Romney fans if anyone is interested Simple bet...Romney wins I send you 5 sticks.....Obama wins, you send me 5 sticks Dont have to be Cuban Cohibas or God of Fires, but I think we should do "nice" sticks at least. Lol I especially like your title vulchor. While I'm hoping you are right, I think it will at least be funny if Romnutz wins to see how the talk of socialism, welfare, etc all stops even though not a thing changes if we would have a *savior* republicant in office. At least the redneck and country bumpkin gray head teabaggers will shut up for awhile, even that's a plus to see the fevered insanity of rednecks with guns going away.

Exactly what size is your ear, Vulch? LOL. I'd be happy to send you 5 sticks brother. One caveat, though. If it is not settled by Wednesday, all bets are off. I definitely don't trust the lawyers.

I wll take the second slot if it's open. This won't be a gloat issue for me if you're guy loses. It will be a chance to pay you back for that Tat Anarchy you sent me oh so long ago from a contest you hosted. Good luck to your candidate, this election will be close and I really hope there's no drama from Florida or any other state. No matter what happens, I still support our troops!! :-)

Guys, I don't mean to steal the show. Whoever win there will very little change. Our politicians lost the courage to do the right thing. Not only our politicians but also the others all over the world. We like it or not, the corporate people run the show and finance the billion dollar election. Both parties took money from them and whoever win will have to protect their interest first not the average people. I just wish as a public we could have come to the middle ground to maintain the pressure both parties need to make the positive changes for our nation.

Truer words have not been voiced. Win loose or draw, the boys with the coin are going to be calling the shots.

What if someone thinks they are both lying jackasses? The guy who cuts fat checks to swindlers versus the swindler? Where's the choice? How many sticks does he win?

... but I gotta say, it baffles me how you deluded lunatic lefties always feel compelled to use "tea" as an epithet. The whole idea is Taxed Enough Already = TEA. If you don't think that you are taxed enough already, then you are welcome to pay mine.

Maybe we should take donations from anti-Teas, set up some funds, a fund named Buy Another Bridge to Nowhere, a Subsidize Batteries Made in Korea fund, the Bail Out Another Bankster fund, the I Have a Drone Fund, the Subsidize Fatherless Children Fund, the Starve Africa So I Can Burn Corn In My Car fund, the Prevent Apocryphal Apocalyptic Glacial Epochs fund, and so forth and so forth and so forth ad nauseum. You can give all you want to any fund you choose. Me, I'm up to here, myself, I'm done. Some outfit called Bought By Wall Street already takes more out of my check than I can afford, automatically, and I can't stop them.

I am all for the Tea Party and I am all for Occupy too. People ought to be pissed off.People need to take their country back from Obomney and Romnama. I just wish that Occupy was half as sensible as the teas so they could have gotten something done instead of just hitting the street then fading away. But then, they're lefties, so they're bound to be airheads.

In all probability, it's that very fact, the fact that TEA was able to get their poop all in one bag and find a way to suggest that arithmetic be applied to public policy, whereas the anti-arithmetic airhead side was only able to show what a pack of nitwits they are, it's that stark contrast between sense and nonsense which pisses you off when it comes to the Tea Party.

But you go ahead. Vote for the same old hope and change..... again. This is just what we need -- four more years of the same failed lunacy.

    absolutely delerious

I find it ironic that while people are rioting from Derry to Athens and from Madrid to Riga precisely because their socialist schemes have bankrupted their countries, while promises are broken and banksters are bailed all round the civilized globe... we choose this very moment in history to dive right in to the melee ourselves and squander what little credit we have left. You would think that in such a scientific and technical age the electorate would have some vestigial awareness of simple arithmetic But no. The zeitgeist is a moron. Broke? Let's spend! Print money! That ought to do it!

“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

I thought this was a challenge to some of the righties to put up or shut up. Oh well. Personally, I wouldn't mind having a few more cigars courtesy of some of our right leaning friends, so I'll offer to throw in with the Vulchor and challenge two more conservatives to this bet. I think Mr. Obama is going to win this election, & I've got 10 cigars (in lots of 5 each) up for grabs to whoever wants to risk it.

I'm with you on that, Rip.
I recently heard a very interesting radio show about campaign fundraising, on This American Life, that really exemplifies your point. Worth a listen if you have the time:
Take the Money and Run for Office

I would also like to say though corporate world rules the world that does not mean we simply watch and give up. If we try our best to do the right thing then it will be very difficult for both the corporate and political people to undermine us in every steps. As a Federal employee and public servant, I always try to do the right thing. I do not bypass the rules(some implemented by our policy makers without justification) but I try to find a workaround. I busted many contractors and defended tax payers funds with difficult decision through precised analysis and awareness. I have been overseas for many years but always bore in minds that our tax payers vested their trust in me and I represent them and my country to the foreign lands. I worked for the private sector which indeed helped me financially so I care little less about my government salary. I joined to make a difference. if left and right can come closer to the middle and do the job we are suppose to do then indeed it is very difficult to manipulate the public. It does not matter if we are self-employed, work for private or the government. Our founder fathers did one great thing- they drafted a great constitution to defend our freedom and created the environment for a progressive multi-cultural society. America has been always believed in power of individual and it works.

We could carry this to the non-cigar related thread if you want and argue/debate all you want. People here know me and while there is one or two I may not get along with, the rest know its all in good spirits and at the end of the day cigars and decency mean more than anything. This thread was meant in that bane, so Im not gonna get into any discussion of real issues here as it isnt the thread or area for it.

FYI - I would hope that we can all find some other word to use when refering to Tea Party members besides "teabaggers", because of the obscene nature of the word.

Five sticks says no matter who wins... Goldman Sachs will drive the victory chariot.

That may be true, but I'm still waiting for somebody to step up and try to take my cigars. If Obama looses this race, they are there for the taking.

I already gotta return fire on you JDH... I will take the bet. At worst, I will just need a bigger box.

Is it bad that a cigar bet may convince me to vote Mitt, instead of my planned vote for Mickey Mouse?

So I should be getting cigars from Beatnic and JThan.....sounds good. Although Beat has to hedge his bets about if the election goes past Wednesday---afraid the longer it goes the more sense and legal truth will be thrown into the mix;)-----------These are gonna be 10 fine sticks to smoke, though Im sure the wealthy conservatives will keep the best for themselves but send the poo sticks to us "47%'ers"------------And as an aside....I better put 10 sticks or so to sit aside just in case I gotta eat my words, lollllllllll.

No doo doo sticks, but I gotta make sure to tithe first, so they will all be 10% smoked.

Done. If you're the only one, do you want to go for 10 or 5?

OK, you're going to fire up against the Vulchor too - so I'll put you down for 5. Hey, if you loose, you could just send me back the cigars I sent you! LOL LOL LOL

"...Is it bad that a cigar bet may convince me to vote Mitt, instead of my planned vote for Mickey Mouse? ..."

Which Mitt are you voting for? I'd still go with the mouse, his sense of humor is much better.

"...No doo doo sticks, but I gotta make sure to tithe first, so they will all be 10% smoked. ..."

If you tithe, just chop 10% off the foot, and burn it in a little incense burner while waving it around in the air like the Catholics do.

Religious humor mixed with cigars and politics....I love it. Speaking of Mi Amors, while I still like them the latest bunch has been a little different to me, wonder if Im the only one. Also, cant wait to try to the new one, El Hefe or something. But I digress----gOBAMA!

I noticed the difference also. I'll send you an El Jeffe. I'm mostly into OPus X and high end Patrons lately. Hehe.
