    Aberlour is a slightly sweeter scotch if you don't like the peaty or smokey scotch. Pretty easy on a scotch virgins palette.

    I haven't had that one. One I'd reccomend is Laphroaig. I got to try it last year at a herf with BigT, RossDavey and a few others. It was one of the smoothest single malts I've ever tasted.

    Glenfiddich 15 is good and can be had for a reasonable price (40-50 range.) I had a bit of it last night as a matter of fact.
