    with a cigar it is a problem. hours before a smoke it isnt. it will make the mouth more acidic without tasting oranges. this may help you taste the alkaline smoke better.
    however, the same thing can be accomplished with coffee as a much better pairing

    Pretty much the only thing I pair with a cigar is Root Beer...the natural vanilla flavors bring out the subtle flavors in the cigar. Though I will accept a Coke or Dr. Pepper in its stead.

    Root Beer eh ? Sounds good. I have had Vernors Ginger Ale with cigars, there is a taste in that soda that makes the pairing work.

    I usually stick with the water suggestions that I kept hearing before... or beer. :-)

    Coke and cigars is one of my favorite pairings!

    Another, for the summer, is a nice cold mint, green tea.
