The last two years the rain has come early and hurt the yield in Nicaragua. As such, many growers planted two months early and risked the rain on the from end to ensure they beat the rainy season in 2013. AJ Fernandez just sent me these last night. Crillio 98.... yumm

I was wondering the same while looking at these pics
  • I'm beginning to think Central America has more land devoted to tobacco fields than anything else hehe.

Thanks for sharing the pics with us Alex. Cigar porn comes in all stages of the process.

I just shared those photos with my gr 9 geography students in order to illustrate the challenges of the weather systems the world is experiences. That is we understand the growing conditions, we can modify traditional practices to overcome some of the unique challenges of the human-environmental interactions. The 'educated gamble' that AJ took here, to attempt to ensure his crop survives. Nice fit...luckily in a way, none of the kids asked what the crop was...i would have told them, but...i dont need the hastle of some over-protective mommy complaining that i am promoting smoking...which of course i am not. Anyway, thanks Alex...we all seem to love the pics of that part of the world!

Wow those leaves look fantastic. Thanks for sharing Alex. This is why ccom is the best, you guys always share the inside information and great cigar porn.
  • Wow ! ! Awesome pic's. It's good to know that a producer of fine cigar's is thinking on how to work with mother nature in order for us hobbyists (lol) to enjoy our next smoke tomorrow.
