Favorite things about your local shop....

In my opinion one of the best things about enjoying a fine cigar is the experience. In college we had a great local shop that had a real laid back environment, game tables and, in addition to a great selection of cigars, a full bar. The guys who ran the place were great. What are some of the things you all enjoy most about your favorite shop?

The place is really nice and upscale but if they had a better selection it would be a favorite hang out
NOW... the place near where I work is the best one in Wisconsin and has all the good stuff, the exclusives, an owner that knows his shtuff and they have an extensive line of gurkha and davidoff as well as the same amenities as the previously mentioned shop but with micro-brews on tap and really nice accessories on sale (read I've never seen a dupont lighter until this place) and they have monthly if not more events and they have allot of pull with the big guys of cigars (I've seen some big wigs from Drew Estates, I've met Rocky Patel and others and one of the stops on the Cigar Aficionado golf and cigars trip last year was at this shop!!!)
I love going in and just asking one simple question... "WHAT'S NEW!"
So yeah, I get everything online >_>

Pictures 7, 8, and 9 are in the humidor of my local shop! GREAT place!
1) i can smoke inside. this is a rare thing because of ohios indoor smoking laws.
one of the guys that works there probably rivals Alex in the volume of cigar knowledge. I feel like every time i walk in there i learn something. He is one of the few people that i know (IRL) that i can just sit down and discuss the philosophy behind different styles of blending cigars.
2 - being inside in a regular environment(not a garage, attic or basement)
-----Ditto Kuzi's point as smoking inside is banned in MA
3 - typically going with a buddy or two just to hang and relax!
There is a place called Churchils in boston I have been wanting to try out. Ill hit this place my next time out with the guys.
Sounds like a great place Tony ...glad you found it...so you about all settled in in LA...
Other than that, nothing really, all the tobacco products are behind sheets like porno videos in a convince store.
In lenox square mall we have a combo "Vino 100/Tinderbox" Selection is pretty good they definately love their Davidoff's. Selection seems to rotate which is good if you're looking for something new but not so great if you want an old standby and they dont have any (i.e. the box of ashton cabinets I recently wanted). With it being in a mall there is no smoking allowed but the staff are very knowledgeable about the cigars and the wine and the prices aren't too bad either.
What's B&M stand for?
Do you guys prefer a shop that leaves you alone and doesn't bother you or do you like a shop that walks in the humidor with you and talks to you while you shop?
Personally I like to be left alone, I believe that I can find and get what I want and don't need chitchat... except for the really nice shop by my work, I can talk to those guys all day!
I learned he use to be a film producer on movies like The Hills Have Eyes and all that. I am a screenwriter, and director with a few minor credits trying to work my way up. We really hit it off, so I started bringing in my filmmaker friends and now we have a movie night every Wednesday where we smoke talk, watch, and pitch new ideas our plan is to all work togeather to do a low budget feature real soon. Its great because it all happened from smokin cigars at my local shop, I made a lot of good friends there. The internet definetly has the best prices but nothing beats the people you can meet from your local lounge.
