I'm scheduled for some major surgery to remove a cancerous tumor on Feb. 11. Only a very few of the forum members knew about it until now. I didn't want to concern you all until I knew for sure when it would be done.
I think now is the proper time to tell you since I'm asking for your prayers to help me get through this. The Brothers and Sisters on this forum have become a special part of my life and have added immensely to my knowledge and enjoyment of the cigar world and for that reason it would mean a lot to know that you're sending prayers and/or good thoughts my way.
There'll be a period of a few days when I'll be in the ICU and out of touch but as soon as I'm able, I'll check back in and let you know how I'm doing. And once I get home from the hospital and my condition warrants it, I'll be looking forward to enjoying another good cigar.

The tumor is in the lower end of my esophagus. Not the best place to have it but we play the cards we're dealt, ya know?
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.
