Hygro Probs

Anyone ever have a Hygrometer go bad on them??? Like REALLY bad?

I just had my Heartfelt one start to show REALLY high %'s and I just am trying to re-calibrate it but when I went to check in on it about three hours later the Display read "- -" like it didn't register it and was going nuts!

I took out the battery (only 3 weeks old) and put it back in and it finally registered at 80% and I'm hoping it will come down

Question is, could a Hygro that is only 11 months old just go wacky like this??

I've had one for about three years without a problem.. Since then I've acquired three more. All without a problem. I change the batteries when the display becomes dim, or I get the " --" reading you mention. Maybe it's still the battery.

Not that I can tell... I've always either had it sitting on top of cedar or on top of one of my boxes... and my beads are fairly undercharged (incase I've ever dropped it in them).... Oh well... I got one that works fine and one that's finicky, I think I'll survive
