I like this - cited from many executives speeches at the event, "You operate with integrity, our company was founded on integrity," Chief Executive Mike Duke told the crowd. "For Wal-Mart, compliance is an absolute. Make no mistake about it, we will do the right thing.".

Pathetic really. So I guess Websters needs to change the definition of Integrity.

Instead of school shootings, Boston Bombings, Hurricanes.......if only Wal-Mart execs and the people that frequently shop there would.........ehhh, nevermind;)

Wal-Mart has nothing to worry about. I was in that union for 15 years. They are weak and are in the pockets of the companies.

Exactly, my dad was in that union for years when he worked for Albertson's and Safeway, then when he was management the only time they tried to help anyone was when he tried to fire the shop steward's dealer, they also tried to sweep my dad's pension that he earned as a union member into their executive fund. They're not much better than the companies they claim to fight.

sadly there are a lot of unions that really are no better than the companies that are **** the workers. I worked at fred meyer when I was in high school and we had a union though they were more corporate than union. My dad use to work for PGE (electric out here) and that union was good when he started (1981) but really since the mid 90's they started to become an arm of the company. It really is sad. Even the good unions are really in a bind due to the bankruptcy laws that companies can use these days. Would be nice if they were as strict as us mere mortals have to deal with.
