Are there etiquette guidelines for members dealing with newbies? Should there be?

I've only been here a short time so I'm reluctant to point out something that I think you guys should be doing differently. I don't want to ruffle any old feathers. So, I'm just gonna bring up the subject and see if my concern is on anybody elses mind too.

if you dont wanna deal with it on the open forum them send a PM. if you dont know is you should send a PM to the person who may or may not be breaking etiquette, then send me a PM and tell me what is going on. no names included though.
