Sick of this rain!

There's just no break. Looks like a whole bunch of farmers are going to lose a lot of their crops soon. Lots have already up north along the Mississippi. This Ohio is set to go over the banks in some places Monday. And the crops are just looking great to. It's a crying shame this will be 3 years in a row the weather has devastated crops. Flood then draught now flooding again.

I'm nowhere near a flood zone and my yard already has half a foot of water in it. I told the missus to pack up the kids and head to high ground, otherwise known as her parents house.
Several places in KY are over a foot above flood stage and looks like we'll be getting more. The fun never stops...

Here in Do-Dah .. (yet another colocialism for Kansas) we are winding down harvest... and some farmers will be filling out paperwork to collect for loss of crops due to late rains... harvest started when it was supposed to even. Families is in... but neighbors isn't.

We're shutting down irrigation ditches out here because of a lack of water in the rivers. Wish we could take some of that water off your hands.

It seems like just yesterday you were mentioning low river levels. Mother Nature giving you a double punch.

Dang. Here I was complaining about a week or so of rain a while ago. I'm sure though things will only get worse as the years go by.

“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)
