Well sir.... i think you should be a sales man. All of you. lol its reasonably priced and from the sounds of it a good lighter! If i remember this one when it comes christmas time... and as long as i dont get overwhelmed by another sexier lighter then this will be my go to.

LOL. Well, It's not the "perfect tabletop lighter" because if it were it would shut itself off after I forget to do so. I left it burning yesterday after a re-light. It was during the day when the flame is hard to see and I just walked off with my cigar and left it burning on low setting on the porch. I wonder how much fuel I wasted.
I have a question for the guys who have had one of these for a little while.... Do you have problems refilling with butane? I just bought a couple xikar (8oz) cans and the nozzle on the xikar can seems a little too narrow maybe? When I try to fill it up there is a loud hissing (either gas escaping out of the xikar can around the burner nozzle or coming out of the burner) it seems like something is wrong here.
Have only filled mine twice(big ol fuel cell). I usually touch up with my single torch so I dont use it a ton, but I love that I dont have to fill it a million times.
I just bought xikar fuel so I could give you an update next fill up.

Thanks, let me know.
It seemed like I had to press down really hard to get a good fit... It obviously worked since I hear butane sloshing around in the burner... I will have to experiment a little
I have had some trouble filling it up. The first time was no problem but the second time the fuel just wanted to escape into the air. I had a ring of adapters that came with my new xikar fuel and I used one of those a couple of times and things were going fine. Then the last refill I did had some trouble. I used the adapter like before but the valve on the lighter wanted to leak a little afterward. I kept purging it just a little bit at a time and I got it to stop hissing. I don't know if I over-filled it or what but It's held it's fuel for about five days now and it hasn't all leaked out so maybe it's OK. But I was worried that the valve was broken. We'll see how it goes.
I have a red adapter ring from an older xikar can (seems like the newer cans do not have these) I will see if that works... Kinda sucks that it is so picky when refilling.
I will figure something out though. I am glad I am not the only one who has had a similar issue. Thanks!
Update: I believe the problems I was having with the refill was trying to put too much fuel in it. (I think) I still have to use the adapter but, these days I count off about five seconds duration of the refill and leave it at that. That method keeps the refill valve from hissing.
My first fill went well but I had problems on the second fill. Had a lot of problems getting a spark when I first got it but now it sparks on the first try more often than not. I was going to send it back and it just started working one day.

I have spark problems with all my butane lighters afer fill. Let the rest a bit and they are OK. Think it is a temp problem.

I meant that I had spark problems right after I got it. But it seems to be fine now. I also had problems on the refill, like Bob Luken had mentioned. Yeah, after filling any lighter it needs to sit for a few minutes to warm back up. Thanks to this forum, I found that out some time back. Could never figure out why my lighters were p****ing me off.
So I've recently started having a problem with this lighter. I can get it to light, but it no longer operates like a torch. It looks more like a candle. See the picture. Now I realize I have it turned all the way up, but that's so I can show you. Anybody got any ideas?
Well on the lower settings the flame can be a little stronger and 'stiffer' for lack of better description.... so I can see where the idea of jets and torches comes in. Mine responds the same way when its turned way up. I haven't had to clean mine. Just a purge when I refill it. Does it look like all the openings in the lighter head are clear?

I've got this one and use it mostly. Like others said, too hot to draw in. Use it to just hold and toast the foot and it's perfect. IMO lighting a cigar properly takes time. Not saying that if you light your cigar in 10-15 seconds you can't enjoy it. But you'll enjoy it much more if you take the time to toast instead of "light." I don't always do it properly myself. But when I do want the full enjoyment factor it can take up to a minute or more to get it started and never let that flame touch the stick.
The downside is this puppy burns through your gas quickly.
I agree Walt. And, I always toast on a very lowest setting. I try to get a small (Yellow) soft flame going before I start. The garage door remains shut for the lighting ritual. The Burner is useless to me outside.
I don't know how you fix that problem you got there @jsnblnchrd For me a yellow flame 100% of the time is desirable, although I wouldn't use it on full blast like in that photo. Like Wayne said, try cleaning the jets out with blasted air from air compressor or some of that canned air that junkies huff.
Maybe the pressure is lacking from the tank. Seems like bout enough pressure to keep the flame blue. (Little buzzed so thoughts might not be coherent) my burner at wide open
Looks like it is not getting air. On the burner stem there are 2 holes. If you block them while it is lit, the flame will turn orange and similar to your pic. You can unscrew the top burner portion and clean it.

I don't know how to clean it; maybe some isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. +1 on a blast of compressed air too.
What kind of fuel is in there? Maybe a purge and some high quality butane would help too.
