Freezing too long?

scarlinscarlin Posts: 1,592
My buddy is on vacation and texted me from Cali and asked me if you can freeze your cigars too long. I told him I wasn't sure and would try to find out and get back to him. He said he forgot to take em out of the freezer before he left and is gone for a week so they would be frozen for ~9 days total. So is this too long? He said it is not a deepfreeze freezer and he was just worried about the tastes and oils not any cosmetic damage. I'm not sure what to tell him since I only know a little of freezing as I only recently started doing it, hence I'm here. Thanks guys.

That's a good question. I know the norm is 2 or 3 days. A week though might be stretching it but I do not know for certain.

30 days is rather common amongst manufacturers.

I did all mine for 9 days. Smoke perfectly.
