Favorite Local B&M Shops?

Maybe this has been done before, but it occurs to me that it would be cool to know where some of the best B&M shops are in the many places represented by the folks here. I'm from the Pittsburgh, PA area, and have a couple of favorite places to stock up in my area, including...

Allegheny Smokeworks in Blawnox, PA

The Leaf & Bean in the Pittsburgh Strip District

Joey D's Cigar Bar at DiSalvo's Station in Latrobe, PA

What are your favorites where you live?

To stock up, no, but to smoke, yes...it's a full-service bar with a restaurant, too (cigar+drinks are rare around here)...

Another great place in Memphis for the selection. Spacious lounge, but a bit run-down. Friendly and helpful tobacconist.

I hear this place is great, but never been there... http://www.havanamix.com/index.html ...anyone want to visit with me?

The local Tinder Box stores are really quite helpful too. They're the most visited B&M's in Memphis and I find treasures in their clearance bins.

Worst B&M in Memphis-rude service... is this place: http://www.tobaccocornerltd.com/
Unfortunately they have the most potential of any of these places, with the exception of Wadford's, maybe. Well cared for inventory and good selection.

I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot.  I will smoke anything, though.

Ive only found two around my area that are not casino based (live in Reno Nevada), there is a small shop where the owner rolls his own in the shop that I haven't visited...of the two main lounges I like http://www.hatueycigarsreno.com/ the best, they don't carry a variety of brands/makes like the other one http://www.fumareusa.com/ but have a great inventory of there own make to enjoy with good prices (my favorite is the Hatuey #1 special cognac 6.5 x 60) a great 1.5 hour smoke, there place is dated but very comfortable and relaxing with 3 separate (slightly small) lounge areas with 2-3 leather couches the one upstairs has a nice large table where you can take your lunch up to and enjoy it with a good stick and TV, the Lady that works there is very helpful. Though they don't have a bar or anything inside there is a bar (with outside seating) just 20 paces next door

My local B&M (Cigars International at King of Prussia Mall, here in the Philly burbs) is too expensive for more than an occasional impulse buy. The lounge there is nice but I buy online mostly and Ccom is great… especially the Sprint Sale and the email specials. There's a good Timber Box in Haverford, PA and in downtown Philly Holt's is the best bet.

I don't do the B&M'S as much as I used to, but since it's nice to herf with some company at times. I like:

Tobacco Road in Sacramento best lounge and selection with decent prices or Just a Cigar in Sacramento great fellas hangout there, but new ownership has pushed the prices to high to visit with any regularity. Tower Cigars has great prices and nice guys own the place, but it's too small to herf in since there are no seats

I may be a bit unique in that I prefer to not smoke in a lounge. I always feel like my palate gets overwhelmed by so much smoke and I lose the nuances in a good smoke that I'd get outside.

I'd like to try that place downtown. It looks really cool. And Wadford's seem really nice too.

The only two I've gone to in my neck of the woods...

Cascade cigar and tobacco - the guys working there have been super helpful and it's got a huge walk in humidor. :)

82nd street pipe and tobacco (I think that's what it's called. Lol) small pretty coo employees and a nice little lounge.

I've heard of more places but I'm a creature of habit and don't really like new things unless I have a really good reason to do so. Lol :)

If we don't do something in Jackson, I'm sure we could give it a try. Wadford's is a good place; I've only been a couple of times, but they have live music in the restaurant, that you can just hear if you want in the cigar bar, or you can sit near the TV's and watch sports. Or in the middle to talk. Pretty nice set-up. Humi is limited, but has good sticks. A bit high, but they keep a tab so you can ignore it for a bit.

  • Old thread. But I'm new here. Serafin De Cuba in Taron Springs, FL is awesome. On the end of the main Sponge Docks drag. Been through there on two separate trips. Big walk in humi. Tasty local rolled sticks. Arnold the owner is a cool dude. Patient with newbies like me. And will ship. I'm in MN. Had sticks sent to a couple friends and a bunch to myself. All arrived well packed and in great shape. Highly recommended. And the Sponge Docks makes for a fun tourist day-trip.

Been to the sponge docks many times to get a Gyro and some Baklava, but that was 40 years ago.
