Anyone on here know much about website design and development and if there are any softwares out there that one can use to create a really good website???

Start with a recent copy of Dreamweaver... Get Adobe Flash or more like Coldfusion (its available for free for students)... You can do most other stuff with photoshop or illustrator... but for buttons and all illustrator is king... u can find all these... that's all u need... dreamweaver will let you also design a website without knowing any code - it is pretty convenient in that way... if u r looking for something really nice learn some CSS and use Dreamweaver to make it...
