I was running out of chemex filters, and asked Chris where to look for them (sold out everywhere). He checked a few sites I didn't know about, but sold out, so Chris being Chris tells me he'll send me some. For some reason usps sent this back and forth between elk grove village and palatine 15 or so times before it finally got to me. He threw in some very cool extras as well. Thank you very much @Yakster, I'm also glad my car has a CD player, awesome stuff there for sure! Thank you again, you saved the day!

Not complaining one bit, but I find it ironic that a guy had a size named after him because it's all he smoked, but when they make a cigar brand to honor HIM, it's a robusto.
If I could walk/drive/fly anywhere with a cigar I too would would want a 7incher. However unfortunately we are restricted in this day and age so shorter cigars are cheaper.

Why continue buying a failing product? There are other options, you haven't had that tower very long. I'm guessing there is a way to fix/clean instead of replace. No way everyone who owns these are replacing them every year, or sooner.

If you can't fix the USB connection, maybe try sealing it next time, assuming the failure isn't due to mechanical stress on the connector. Here's a link to how connectors are sealed on towers. Typically a layer of electrical tape is put down to make it possible to take the connector apart again and then you use a rubber butyl mastic to form a putty around the connection (we call it Gorilla Snot). You could try with just the rubber butyl mastic around the connection, but it'll be hard to take it off later if you don't put down electrical tape first.
Some companies tried to make us use 3M Skotchkote (we called it Deathkote) which you can paint on, but due to the use of Toluene in the ingredients I recommend you stay away from that.
To prevent mechanical stress on the connector, you could buy some ty-wraps (cable ties) to secure the cabling so that it doesn't move at the connector. They have stick-on and screw-on ty-wrap holders you could use to secure to the side or bottom of the humidor if you don't have a rack or rail to connect to.

This is my 4th one. All of them die at the micro USB connection. Just one day the connection craps out.

If moisture is the culprit can you seal the connection with silica?
