Failed the dollar test.

I am new to all of this so I apologize for the many questions. Both my humidors have failed the dollar test. One is a 300 count the other a hundred. The hundred hold humidity well enough but I fight with the larger one. What do you all suggest I do? Thanks for the help!

Wherever contact is made between the lid and base.

If you have problems with the weather stripping, let me know. Bad seal can be fixed without it, done it several times now, but it takes patience and a month's time.

Well first. Was the humidor dry as a bone or has it been seasoned? If its dry it can fail the dollar test and not have an issue.

If you wet the lip or where the seal is with distilled water the wood seems to swell and when you close it, it will seal tight.
