Full Flavored/Boxed Press

Any recommendations for full flavored 'box pressed".
SLO Maduro not doing it much anymore.
Wasn't impressed with 501 blue either.

TIA
Dan

Ortega Series D Maduro full flavor medium full strength. The old 601 Blue made by EO was good but the new one made by La Zona is not the same smoke and IMHO not as good.

I think Rocky Patel old world maduro is boxed pressed, at least somewhat? Vintage 1990 as well. Both good maduros.

Oliva masterblends 3 is sort of a soft box press. Great smoke with lots of flavor. Ever had a padron 1964?

Other than the Padrons, I'd probably suggest Nica Libre, Oliva G Maduro, and 5 Vegas Cask Strength.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot these. San Lotano maduro and San Lotano Oval.

Is that a maduro? I thought just dark sun grown? Or maduro by color but not by process?

Another vote for Ortega D maduro No 7. I don't smoke maduro, not a fan. When I do, I grab an Ortega D. They age very well.

---------------- Ok I thought something was up. This makes sense. The 601 Blue was the closest thing to my all time favorite the REO brand. The last one I had did not taste the same. I guess that explains it.
