101 here and 6% humidity, glad I work in an air conditioned casino today. Unfortunately the box of cigars I ordered are sitting on the front porch until I get home.
Friends don't let good friends smoke cheap cigars.

Just curious @Markwell, did you park your Jeep in the wrong place for one of these shoots
Haha, no! That thing could plow through anything, but I did hit some broad on the way up there when she decided to lock it up in the middle of the road. Dad was not happy.
Only fatality that day was my buddy's shoe. We waded through waist-deep snow for the one location and he lost it somewhere. Now he wears Redwing Loggers.

Those rotaries are fantastic machines! Only obstacle to overcome is like you see here; when the snow is more than halfway up the thrower, you've got to take it in chunks because instead of picking it up and throwing in one motion it has to rotate the entire pile.
Better than a Russell any day though. They have a bad tendency to derail when snow piles up underneath. If you're lucky, you just back up and pop onto the rail. Snow/ice makes decent temporary track
I'll take snow year round. The neighbors don't seem to like seeing me in my birthday suit.

112 here today and looks like the same for tomorrow. Going out to Arizona this weekend for a family b-day... lets hope it cools down a little before Friday
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt

96.4*F out, heat index 120*F, and it's only the beginning. Even better news, Harris County is repaving all the roads in the neighborhood finally, should be beyond hell out running on fresh black top.
Be safe out there everyone! Caution needs to be taken when the heat index is in the 105's up. It's no joke when your head throbs for 2 weeks straight and you become disoriented, I just have to learn the hard way…

Highs in the low 70's and lows in the low 60's here. Great NC mountain weather. If i drive 20 miles to the west, south, or north the drop in elevation will cause the temp to go up 10 degrees.
Went out to AZ this weekend to spend some time with family. WOW AZ gets HOT in the summer. It was 115 Friday and hit 119 Saturday. Stayed at the Wigwam which I highly recommend. Got this nice sunset shot Saturday on my way to the pool

If anyone tries tells you native americans don't sunburn, they don't know anything. Saturday I was out working on my truck and my shoulders got pretty red. Luckily, no pain with it, but momma is laughing. Most times, I never have a problem, but didn't realize I was outside so long and 94 is warm for anywhere.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
Use to go to the Northern Va Gun Club range every week. Unbelievably hot and humid place, no matter what time of summer. One of the guys who went with us was an Englishmen. While we drank ice water, he drank hot tea. He stayed cool, we didn't. I think there is a lesson here.
Chinese laborers used to drink hot tea and boiled water while building the Transcontinental RR. The Chinese diet and especially the use of boiled water reduced the outbreak of dysentery and other diseases. I imagine it helped to keep them cool as well. They must have done something right...10 miles of track was laid by them in one day. Try doing that with today's advanced technology.

It just started thunder bumpering, had a 15 min warning, Shiloh and Blue are pacing.

This is some strange weather.
One of these days, we might just have to get AC if this keeps up.
