Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
Sometimes a plow isn't good enough.
Thunderstorm
Gusts 8.1 mph
Today is forecast to be MUCH COOLER than yesterday. <I have no idea what this means.
Occasional thunderstorms likely to begin at 1:45pm.
It just started thunder bumpering, had a 15 min warning, Shiloh and Blue are pacing.
Only fatality that day was my buddy's shoe. We waded through waist-deep snow for the one location and he lost it somewhere. Now he wears Redwing Loggers.
Those rotaries are fantastic machines! Only obstacle to overcome is like you see here; when the snow is more than halfway up the thrower, you've got to take it in chunks because instead of picking it up and throwing in one motion it has to rotate the entire pile.
Better than a Russell any day though. They have a bad tendency to derail when snow piles up underneath. If you're lucky, you just back up and pop onto the rail. Snow/ice makes decent temporary track
I'll take snow year round. The neighbors don't seem to like seeing me in my birthday suit.
1. I got a way over the top sampler from @Bigshizza.
2. Only 3 months until Autumn!
Great salsa recipe Puff
Be safe out there everyone! Caution needs to be taken when the heat index is in the 105's up. It's no joke when your head throbs for 2 weeks straight and you become disoriented, I just have to learn the hard way…
This is some strange weather.
One of these days, we might just have to get AC if this keeps up.

Most times, I never have a problem, but didn't realize I was outside so long and 94 is warm for anywhere.

Unbelievably hot and humid place, no matter what time of summer.
One of the guys who went with us was an Englishmen.
While we drank ice water, he drank hot tea.
He stayed cool, we didn't.
I think there is a lesson here.
Chinese laborers used to drink hot tea and boiled water while building the Transcontinental RR. The Chinese diet and especially the use of boiled water reduced the outbreak of dysentery and other diseases. I imagine it helped to keep them cool as well. They must have done something right...10 miles of track was laid by them in one day. Try doing that with today's advanced technology.
