That's the right way to cook those brussel sprouts. Looks good.

They really do look good. Just can't do them or cabbage. Can't tell you how many meals or family humiliation I have dealt with when my entire family for 3 generations at least love them,

Chicken and a good dose of cruciferous vegetables. Always cruciferous vegetables. Very important.

Was supposed to have jambalaya with linguica for dinner. I was all out of jambalaya mix. Had some Spanish rice on hand. Added a dash of cayenne and chili powder to it to give it a boost. Had the linguica in a skillet to saute it. My son took it upon himself to add a ton of butter, herbs and spices. Like $10 worth. He added shredded cheddar to it when all combined. Came out pretty good but I'm worried for my bung hole tomorrow. 🤣

If your worried about afterburn, a little bit of proactively applied Vaseline works wonders.

I was able to find some beef chuck roast in the freezer so I happily made some Mississippi Pot Roast.

    What makes it Mississippi?

I think it's the combination of the pepperoncini's and pepperoncini brine, Ranch dressing mix, and Au Jus mix, and butter, AFAIK. The pepperoncini's give it a nice, spicy twang, or as my friends from Tennessee would say wäng.

I didn't have any Au Jus seasoning mix so I mixed up 50/50 corn starch and bullion cubes. I also used Montreal Steak Seasoning as a dry rub on the beef and seared it in a pan with some olive oil before throwing it in the crock pot.

Enjoyed the pot roast with a fine Kirkland red sangria.
