Punch original got Sumatra or Connecticut broadleaf wrapper?

I had a Punch original corona tonight, and personally didn't very much enjoy it because it's not very complex i guess and probably it didn't have the flavor i love. To me, the flavor was dull. At the time I was smoking it, I searched online about it. I am confused by some website says it's Sumatra wrapper while the other Connecticut broadleaf. It's toothy, and both of those wrapper are toothy, too; so i am just confused. Anyone has some ideas?

According to General Cigar, the original Punch line has an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and a Connecticut broadleaf binder. However, if you have the maduro version of that line, the wrapper is the Connecticut broadleaf.

However, that being said, don't let the Punch discourage you from trying other sumatra or connie broadleaf wrappers. If you're having a hard time finding a sumatra you like, I'd suggest trying out La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial, Man O' War Armada (it's a maduro made from a sumatra leaf, which is rare), or 5 Vegas Classic.

Thanks, ****! I do love 5 Vegas Classic; it's amazing. I just bought 10 of them And it's because of the last 5 Vegas Classic I had, the Punch I had last night really threw me off cuz I thought sumatra wrapper should have something like the 5 Vegas Classic. lol

Try to stay away from the smaller rg from 5 vegas. In my experience they have a plethora of draw issues. Just my .02 that I wish someone had shared with me.
