Some things shouldn't be made into other things.
Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.0 -
Not sure if this was considered a beer so I'll post it in here"It's plume, bro. Nothing to worry about. Got any Opus?" The suppose to be DZR1

Meh, not a big fan of this one.
Way too carbonated and, after drinking more cane sugar root beers lately, the corn syrup gives this one a weird sweetness taste.

This was a good rootbeer! Really smooth and carmelly. Paired very well with a PL23 habano.
And just what does "Philadelphia style" mean anyway?
All I think of is Tom Hanks . . .ISO Ramrod and Ron Mexico0 -

Only drank the RB, then switched to Woodford. It was a weird combo until I switched.ISO Ramrod and Ron Mexico0

I know it's not root beer, but this stuff is great! The ginger is overbearing, makes you breath deep.

I tried that Suiox Falls one yesterday and quite enjoyed it. My favorite is one that a local brewery makes. They don't bottle it though..."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."
At any given time the urge to sing "In The Jungle" is just a whim away... A whim away... A whim away...0 -

Sodastream Ginger Ale and candied ginger, converted to low sugar:
2 cup Splenda1 Tbsp molasses
2 cups water
4 oz peeled and sliced ginger (I started with 6-7 oz whole fresh ginger)
2 tsp cardamom pods
1 tsp whole allspice
1 tsp peppercorns
3 ea. star anise pods (decrease this next time)In a small pot, combine the sugars with the water and add the peeled and sliced ginger. I used the palm sugar (in the photo at the top) because I had it, but you can also use 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white .
Toast the whole spices in a saute pan until they just begin to brown and become fragrant. Add them to the sugar and water mixture and bring it to a simmer. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes and then turn off the heat.
Allow to steep until cool. At this point you can strain it into a clean container and store it in the refrigerator. Chill.---------------------------------------------------------------Candied GingerTake just the ginger pieces from the above recipe and allow it to sit for 20 minutes.Cook in a 200 F oven until almost dry but still chewy, allow to coolStore in airtight containerHow to peel ginger root with a spoon + recipesJoin us on Zoom vHerf (Meeting # 2619860114 Password vHerf2020 )0 -
