Birthday on Profile?

Anyone else squirrelly about sharing their actual birth date on the interwebz?

I have been in the practice of not sharing mine for years. Am I just paranoid?

I swear to dog, I don't wear a tin foil beanie.

I did just update my profile to April 1 1908. Truthfully, my birthday is in April, I just feel like my info floating around out there is no bueno.

There are more good reasons to keep it private than to post it. 

I don't post mine.

I'm kinda private about some things but not others.  High school, never had my picture taken except once in a group and didn't know they were taking it.  Still got a land line and my name and addy are in the phone book for all to see.  

Now online stuff I'm very private, well except here, lol.  I use the name Richard Cranium mostly, AKA "**** Head".  I get spam in my yahoo mail often, Dear Richard, lol.  Don't use online banking or even have any real account info anywhere on my computers or cell.  Set up an account at a different bank and use the debit card as a cc for CCOM and Amazon, the only places I really shop online and the only place I use it.  Keep a small balance in there just for that, no credit line, if it gets hacked they won't get much, just my cigar savings.

Well birthdays are one useful piece of information for someone trying to create a false identity.  I don't just list in on random forums,  if you use it to buy things, like cigars, or to get onto porn sites ( kidding),  change the actual day...
