Man he loved to smoke cigars in his movies. No doubt they were lit while filming, Ah the good old days!

    I haven't seen one of those in years. My dad liked them and watched many when I was a kid. Should find one on cable and see if they are as good as I thought they were as a kid.

    He used to smoke cigars on his television show.  They were indeed the good old days.

    Groucho was probably the first well known entertainer to use a cigar as a prop. If you watch his movies, you see that he usually take a puff as a flourish after he's delivered a joke. This is designer to give the audience time to laugh before the next joke. (Later, George Burns did the same thing.) When you watch the movies on TV these pauses become very evident.

    Supposedly Dunhills were Groucho's favorite brand.
